Biography:
Dr Fortunate Madondo is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader in Early Childhood Education at the University of Hertfordshire with extensive experience in teaching, research, and external examining in higher education. Her work focuses on holistic child development, with a particular emphasis on promoting equitable and inclusive outcomes for young children. Her research interests centre on social justice in education, exploring how wider social, cultural, and environmental factors shape children’s learning and development. She draws significantly on Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory, as well as social constructivist perspectives, to inform her teaching, research, and engagement with students and practitioners. Dr Madondo is committed to supporting trainee educators to critically engage with theory and practice, fostering reflective and creative approaches to early childhood education.
