Biography:
Dr. Umashankar Palanisamy is a dedicated Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with specialized training in Paediatric Surgery and experience in managing surgical conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents. He completed his M.B.B.S. from Rajah Muthiah Medical College and Hospital, Chidambaram, followed by M.S. in General Surgery from Meenakshi Medical College & Research Institute, Kanchipuram, and M.Ch. in Paediatric Surgery from Coimbatore Medical College Hospital under The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. He has prior experience as a Senior Resident and Assistant Professor of General Surgery. His professional interests include minimally invasive and advanced paediatric surgical procedures. Dr. Umashankar has presented over 50 seminars and several papers and posters at national conferences, including PESICON and NEPSCON. He received First Prize for Paper Presentation at PESICON 2024 and has contributed to several academic publications.
